“Free” is the best price ever. Getting something for free in conjunction with your birthday is just over-the-moon-good! OK, so maybe I get a little exuberant over freebie deals but it’s just such a swell thing to hand over your email address to your favorite eateries and then receive a lovely birthday greeting and an offer for free food in return!

With my birthday fast approaching, I left my email address at some of my favorite places just to see what kind of goodies would stuff my inbox. I was pleasantly surprised and pleasantly stuffed. Some deals are for use only on your actual birthday while others give a brief period of time before the coupon expires. Be sure to read the fine print so you know if something has to be purchased in conjunction, like a beverage. Sign up and let the deals come your way.

Here’s what came my way:

Baskin Robbins (www.baskinrobbins.com) – A free scoop on your birthday plus a coupon toward an ice cream cake ahead of time

Ben & Jerry’s (www.benjerry.com) – A free scoop on your birthday.

Boston Market (www.bostonmarket.com) – A free dessert with purchase of a meal plus you can sign up your spouse and kids all at once so they each receive a deal on their birthdays.

Chili’s (www.chilis.com) – Free Queso and Chips for signing up and then a free dessert with purchase of entrée on your birthday.

Cold Stone Creamery (www.coldstonecreamery.com) – They are developing their “My Cold Stone Club”.  Once it’s up and running, it will offer a treat for signing up and another on your birthday.

Einstein Bros Bagels (www.einsteinbros.com) – A free breakfast sandwich with purchase of beverage.

Garbanzo’s (www.eatgarbanzo.com) – Free drink for signing up.

Noodles’ Noodle Gram (www.noodles.com) – A free entrée of your choice.

Qdoba (www.qdoba.com) – Buy one, get one free for your birthday plus frequent BOGO deals throughout the year.

Ted’s Montana Grill (www.tedsmontanagrill.com) – Free cookie and ice cream.

I know there must be many more places that offer deals but I had to draw the line for my email somewhere. Let me know what deals you’ve discovered.
